All navigators attend a “Generic ECDIS Training” according to IMO model course 1.27.

Additionally, navigators have to attend a manufacturer-specific ECDIS training for each ECDIS model in use on-board. Anschütz offers their customers certified ECDIS Online-Training courses together with the E-learning specialist Safebridge. Navigators can take the training at any time via any Internet connection and obtain the necessary certificate before they go on board of a ship.
