Anschütz received UKCA certification

United Kingdom Conformity Assessment (UKCA) certification for the complete product portfolio in the area of navigation.

Anschütz received United Kingdom Conformity Assessment (UKCA) certification for marine equipment from the notified body DNV UK Ltd., London for the complete product portfolio in the area of navigation.

The UKCA certification allows the installation of marine equipment onboard of UK flagged vessels on or after the January 1st, 2023. This includes Anschütz autopilots, gyro compasses, radars, electronic chart display and information systems (ECDIS), track control systems, integrated navigation systems, and other products.

The new certification was necessary since the transitional period in the UK during which the European MED approvals (“Wheelmark”) are still accepted for navigation products for ships flying the UK flag will expire end of 2022.

As a supplier and service provider for the navigation and bridge systems of the Royal Navy ships Type 45, Type 26 and Type 31 and various UK flagged commercial ships, Anschütz is committed to the UK customers. The timely certification of the complete product range for navigation enables us to reliably supply and support our customers in UK commercial shipping and the Royal Navy.
