ECDIS NX is the first “user-defined” Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) application designed under continuous feedback from navigators. This makes the ECDIS NX intuitive to operate, and thanks to its ever-growing scope of features it effectively supports the daily tasks and use cases of navigators.

Intuitive to operate

ECDIS NX has a modern, clearly structured user interface. Retractable panels for a maximised chart view, a quick access bar with icons to access all important functions in one tap, and intuitive interaction patterns like multi-touch gestures, point to chart or drag and drop make familiarisation with the system easy.

Safe and efficient navigation

ECDIS NX comes with an advanced scope of features to simplify route planning, route monitoring and voyage management. The bridge team always has a complete overview of the current voyage, the ship's position and environment as well as the next waypoints, enabling them to navigate the ship precisely and on time.

Support of special applications

With its modular range of features, ECDIS NX can meet specific customer requirements for advanced maritime operations or missions (as typically requested by superyachts, offshore or research vessels, coastguards and naval ships). ECDIS NX can easily be upgraded by means of software only.

The ECDIS NX software application comes as a part of the Synapsis E05.xx installer. The application is type-approved and delivered with an advanced functional scope. System functionalities include sensor management, target management, alert management and health monitoring (in combination with an integrated navigation system).

Beyond its main features, the ECDIS NX can be expanded with additional optional features. These “Plus features” can be easily added to adapt the ECDIS NX installation to a specific mission or operation at sea (such as offshore vessels, research vessels or coastguards). The system can be extremely flexibly tailored to the individual customer and operational requirements – by pure means of software and without any export restrictions!

Difficult tasks at sea need special features! Offshore operations are, as commonly known, challenging. Therefore, ECDIS NX by Anschütz offers a range of optional functions that make working at sea easier, more efficient and safer.

Flexible system design

ECDIS NX can be used as a stand-alone workstation (including a chart table/planning station) or as part of a multifunctional workstation or integrated navigation system. Customers can choose between either high-quality 24” or 27” marine panel PCs, or powerful, small marine computers with wide-screen, glass-front TFT displays in various sizes. Anschütz offers certified ECDIS online training courses for their customers in cooperation with the e-learning specialist Safebridge. Navigators can take the training at any time via any internet connection and obtain the necessary certificate before they go on board.
