Electronic Logbook

eLog – Electronic logbook by Anschütz

Digitised books with high data quality and global data access

The Anschütz eLog is an electronic logbook for ships. It revolutionises documentation with automated and digitised logbook entries, eliminating the cost and effort of paper logbook logistics. Customers benefit from high data quality and global data access.

Integrated with data exchange services, voyage analytics systems and decision support solutions, eLog enables the transition of a formerly manual, error-prone process of data collection into a single-sourced digital process chain for maritime data.

High-quality logbook data, high efficiency, paperless shipping
Stay compliant with our class- and flag-approved logbook!

Just like the electronic chart display and information system has replaced the paper nautical chart, the electronic logbook is revolutionising the classic paper logbook. Electronic logbooks offer clear benefits, including the higher accuracy of data, efficiency gains through simplified reports and data queries, as well as the better usability of the data.

Experience the Anschütz eLog

eLog simplifies logbook management with automatic data entry and workflow-driven, intuitive templates for manual data entry. The user enters new logbook entries with consistently high quality, regardless of disruptive factors such as fatigue, stress or weather.

All traditional logbook entries can be made and viewed. Incorrect entries can be edited with the change being displayed in a traceable manner. Vessel particulars can be set, engine and equipment can be configured.

eLog consists of a small gateway computer and a web browser application. The scope of the eLog may vary on customer needs and vessel configuration. Anschütz’s eLog is independent of the manufacturer of the automatic identification system (AIS) or navigation systems.

eLog scope of books and functions

Anschütz offers the electronic logbook in several licence levels for different use cases. A basic licence includes, among others, the deck logbook, the bell book and the engine logbook, and is perfect for small vessels such as tugboats, workboats or coastguard ships. Licences are also available for cargo ships, container ships and tankers, and an all-encompassing selection of books and reports is available for ships operating paperlessly.

Not just a logbook: Single source for onboard maritime data

When digital data is available, it's smart to use it. eLog integrates with other systems, enabling a consistent reuse of comprehensive logbook data on board and ashore.

By consolidating and transforming many manual data processes into one digital data chain for exchange, processing and analysis, eLog simplifies reporting and provides valuable, real-time voyage information to all stakeholders.

This is a selection of our partners hitherto, however, eLog is open for any integration:

s-Suite by StormGeo
The s-Suite uses eLog data to ensure compliance, provide voyage insights, increase transparency between ship and shore-based users, and support a ‘completely paperless’ ship governance strategy.

Podium5 by StratumFive

Real-time data from the eLog is transferred to and analysed by the voyage informatics platform to build a broader, more reliable picture of voyage performance or efficiency.

SOFeXChange by Osiris

Data entered into the eLog is automatically captured in the Statement of Facts (SOF). The SOF is made available in real time to shore-based voyage stakeholders.

FleetMon by Jakota Cruise Systems

AIS data around the vessel is tracked, to enable vessel's owner analysing own operation with best possible quality based on live or historical data.

Hoppe Marine Systems

Hoppe's sensor data validation capabilities are combined with eLog's intelligent workflow and plausibility checks to deliver significant data quality and efficiency benefits to the customer.
