The S²VTD-Mod probe is an advanced oceanographic measurement system. It provides high-precision measurement and evaluation of sea water salinity, sound velocity, temperature, density and pressure. The S²VTD-Mod probe features both a time of flight and a CTD (Conductivity, Temperature, Depth) sensor system and provides highly reliable and consistent data for tactical and submarine safety-related decisions.
This smart sensor may be used as a stand-alone system with a separate display and control unit, directly connected to specific echo sounder systems, or integrated in a sensor network on board. Made from titanium, the probe’s design allows optimised access for maintenance even when installed.
