Anschütz is an expert in navigation and bridge systems for professional shipping. We are a safe, reliable partner for our customers. We keep our promises and contracts and support our customers with after-sales services throughout the service life of our products.
We understand sustainability as taking responsibility for the protection of our oceans and environment, for our employees and customers, and for society.
Through EcoVadis, one of the largest and most recognised providers of corporate sustainability ratings, we underwent an external assessment of our sustainability programme and were certified an impromptu Bronze Medal. The assessment is based on the international GRI/G4 (Global Reporting Initiative) and ISO 26000 guidelines and carried out in the categories of environment, labour and human rights, sustainable procurement and ethics.
Our processes and products are continuously optimized to achieve a sustainable reduction of energy use and emissions in daily working life.
Anschütz maintains an environmental management system according to ISO 14001:2015, which is regularly audited by LRQA for system certification.

Reduction of Hazardous Substances
This regulation limits the use of substances such as lead, chromium, cadmium and mercury in certain electronic devices. As a manufacturer of navigation systems, Anschütz products are not affected by this regulation. However, most of the in-house and third-party products sold by Anschütz comply with this regulation.

Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals
The REACH Regulation (Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006) has been in force since 2007 and aims to ensure a high level of protection for human health and the environment. At the same time, it aims to ensure the free movement of chemicals in the internal market and to promote competitiveness and innovation. REACH is used to collect comprehensive data on chemicals and places high demands on manufacturers, importers and users of chemical products. For example, all substances on the European market must be registered and evaluated for each manufacturer or importer from an annual quantity of one metric ton. The amount of testing required for each substance depends mainly on the quantity manufactured or imported and the expected risks of its use.
We have established internal processes to ensure that all REACH obligations are met during production and that only REACH-compliant products are shipped.
Occupational health and safety
In addition to environmental protection, Anschütz considers occupational health and safety to be a primary corporate and social objective. Our goal is to prevent occupational accidents, occupational diseases and work-related health hazards with all means at our disposal and to provide effective first aid. Our efforts to maintain the health of all employees are certified to OHSAS ISO 45001:2018 and are regularly audited by LRQA for system certification.
